Machine Shop

In this fully equipped machine shop the intricate workings of many projects are machined, pieced, and welded. Full-time shop staff support numerous student projects as well as faculty research efforts.  This shop can do either manual machined parts or complex CNC machined parts.

Each semester the shop aids students in the design and creation of parts for senior design projects and many team event projects such as the UMR Solar Car, Formula SAE Car, Human-Powered Vehicle, and AAVG heavy lift plane.

The shop is also instrumental in research conducted by the faculty. It provides parts for research of energy efficient motors, aerodynamic aircraft, and practical farming methods.
