MAE's Curators' Teaching Professor - Dr. James Drallmeier was selected as Missouri S&T's choice for Curators' Teaching Professor.

MAE's newest recipient of a Young Investigator Research Program award.  Dr. Joshua Rovey was recently awarded a grant from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research on his proposal to investigate energy conversion and loss processes in heavy gas, field-reversed configuration electric thruster plasma.

Outreach to 6th through 9th graders - Krista Bartel and Amber Carver, under the advisorship of Dr. Doug Bristow, along with other students, went to some middle schools in the area to discuss nanotachnology.


Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers inducts new members - Seven mechanical and aerospace engineering alumni were inducted into the Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers.


S&T team to unveil EcoCAR during GM Day in Rolla 


Former Missouri S&T Student Receives 2009 NSF CAREER Award - Xin Ming, who earned his doctorate at Missouri S&T in 2002 under the advisorship of Dr. S. N. Balakrishnan, professor of aerospace engineering, recently received a prestigious NSF CAREER Award in the amount of $400K for the duration 2009-2014.

MAE building named Toomey Hall -

The Toomey Hall Dedication Ceremony was held on Friday, October 17, 2008, in the David and Melanie Brewer Family Atrium!!  

The Toomey Hall Groundbreaking Ceremony was held on Friday, September 30, 2005 in front of the Mechanical Engineering Annex!

The new MAE complex features state of the art learning centers, laboratories and computer facilities. The newly renovated complex will greatly enhance Missouri S&T’s ability to provide a premiere engineering education that focuses on research, application, partnership, innovation and design.
