Laser-Aided Manufacturing Processes Laboratory
The Laser-Aided Manufacturing Processes (LAMP) Laboratory is a world-class powder-feed additive manufacturing (AM) laboratory. The Lab has the capabilities of AM process modeling, AM process development, hybrid AM process planning, AM process monitoring and control, and AM part characterization. LAMP Lab has researched and developed several configurations of hybrid AM processes to quickly produce precision metal parts. In addition, under an NSF MRI grant, LAMP lab features an Advanced Materials Additive Manufacturing (AM2) System for research and fabrication of structures with advanced materials.
