The Laser-Aided Manufacturing Processes Laboratory uses a five-axis laser deposition/CNC machining process to produce complex, fully-functional parts, including freeform surfaces and thin walls. The process is used for rapid manufacturing of metal and ceramic parts, die repairing, and direct generation of molds for master production through casting, and injection molding.
