The Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers was established in 1995 to recognize outstanding alumni for their professional achievement and success, and to create a group that would provide organized assistance to the MAE department. Membership is by invitation, extended from the current members. The organization's ongoing focus is on improving the educational experience of the department's students.

2007-2008 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Academy's Board of Director's is supported by ten committees.Each committee has a chairman and a vice chairman as well as other Academy members who support the goals of the committees. Academy members are encouraged to take an active role on these committees.

The annual induction banquet and membership meeting are highlights of the Academy's year. This year's induction weekend included the Induction Banquet where we inducted six new members. It also included the annual membership meeting where we approved donations to numerous design teams.This year's induction weekend included a BBQ lunch with the MAE students, a spouse/guest day out in Rolla and ended with a Social at the home of Ashok and Chris Midha.

Next year's Induction Weekend is October 16 and 17, 2008. The Induction Weekend Committee is currently planning the activities for the weekend to include spouse/guest activities. We hope all Academy members will reserve these dates, so you can join us for the activities.
