But….Did You Know THIS about Lisa Sombart??
Lisa, or known to other people as LJ, Jonesy, yak-yak (another story) or just plain Lisa, has dreamed of one day building a car from scratch. But alas, she does not have enough space in her garage or it would have happened (probably due to husband Kevin’s golf clubs and their other toys). Just kidding Kevin.
Anyway, Lisa and Kevin are very much the outdoor-sy types. They love to travel, hike, mountain climb, do whitewater rafting and anything else away from cellphone range. They attend live concerts as much as possible. Kevin is a Cardinals fan and Lisa is a Rams fan. This could be a problem in the household, but they seem to work it out just fine. (I wouldn’t mess with anyone called Jonesy or yak-yak either Kevin :-)
Lisa is a Licensed Professional Engineer in 21 states. Her most challenging and fulfilling project was the Tuntex Sky Tower in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Other projects have been the Scotttrade Center, the St. Louis Art Museum Expansion, Wash U School of Medicine Siteman Cancer Center Cell Therapy and Sytometry Lab, BJC Proton Therapy Clinic, the St. Louis Zoo Primate House and many many others.
Don’t know how she fits it in.. but Lisa is a chronic volunteer. She spends her free time tutoring elementary school kids from disadvantaged neighborhoods, serving on their church’s Senior Services Properties Committee or any other short-term needs. She also has been attending in-depth bible study for the last 10 years at their church.
Lisa and Kevin have a daughter, Jennifer, who followed in her mom’s footsteps and became a mechanical engineer at Purdue University. Jennifer is now married and living nearby. They are looking forward to enjoying their future (Missouri S&T ME?) grandchildren.
